About this video
Marchese Lamberto Frescobaldi spoke with Wine With Wanda journalist Wanda Mann about the 25th anniversary of Tenuta Luce. The two discussed the significance of this estate as well as its history, winemaking philosophy and the current vintages on during an Instagram Live Session.
During their chat, the pair sipped the two of the recent releases, Tenuta Luce “Luce” 2017, which was later reviewed as phenomenal, “Appearing a deep ruby, on the nose it offers intense scents of ripe berry fruit and dark-fleshed fruit. […] Its dense, velvety tannins contribute to the wine’s magnificent structure, while the palate, remarkably full-bodied, progresses into a notably lengthy finish.” Secondly, the Tenuta Luce Brunello di Montalcino 2015 received more high praise, “vaunts a vibrant acidity and spice-laden structure, while silky tannins gradually unfold on the palate, revealing an elegance and multi-layered complexity that drive to a lengthy, intense conclusion.”

Today, Luce goes so much further than was originally envisioned when started as a project over 20 years ago. The estate now has some of the most exceptional vineyards in Montalcino and, as of 2018, a state of the art winery to nurture every step of the winemaking process. The original vision, however, remains the same: to produce a bold and ambitious Super Tuscan that reflects the culture of Montalcino.
