Cadence Extra Brut 2017

Loire Valley

Founded over 130 years ago on the banks of the Loire River, Langlois has been driven by an uncompromising quest for quality. This family history of excellence began in the Loire Valley with Edouard Langlois and his wife, Jeanne Chateau, later joined by the Bollinger family group, who were drawn to this unique heritage. Remaining faithful to its pursuit of excellence, the House chose the Crémant de Loire appellation, known for its distinct requirements, while continuously elevating its standards. These include gentle pressing, independent vinification of each of the four terroirs on a tailor-made basis (separating cuvée and tailles), the use of reserve wines, and extensive aging—from 18 months for Crémant Rosé to 24 months for Crémant Blanc and a minimum of five years for the Cadence cuvée.

Tasting Notes

A luminous golden color with fine and harmonious bubbles. Wrapping notes of hazelnut, dried fruit and brioche. A delicious complex profile, where finesse and smoothness meet a beautiful acidity, accentuated by hints of lemon and white fruits.

Reviews

Wine Enthusiast - October 9, 2024 “Soft, subtle and seamlessly-integrated aromas of brioche, golden apple, white peach and pureed pear open on the nose followed by toasted almond skin and white blossom. Bright and textured on the palate, the aged crémant is enlivened by toasted orange zest and honeysuckle on the lifted finish.”
